Jack grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, playing travel baseball his entire childhood. He enjoyed an extremely successful prep career that saw him ranked as the state’s #3 overall player by Prep Baseball Report.
He went on to play 5 years of college baseball at Michigan State University, where he earned First Team All-Big Ten honors in his senior season. Jack led the Big Ten in B1G-only games with a .439 average and ranked second in the league with a .509 on-base percentage. Additionally, he ranked second in the conference with a .724 slugging percentage and a 1.233 OPS in B1G-only games. His time at MSU was marked by other standout achievements, including tying for No. 2 in doubles (48), ranking No. 3 in runs (155), No. 5 in stolen bases (52), tied for No. 7 in home runs (26), and No. 10 in hits (226) on the university’s career lists. Jack also received Academic All-Big Ten honors each of his five years and was awarded the prestigious Michigan State University Big Ten Medal of Honor, given to one male and one female athlete at the university for academic and athletic excellence.
