Luis “Coach Louie” SaldaƱa is a distinguished figure in the world of softball and baseball, with a remarkable career spanning over three decades. A native of Chicago, Coach Louie began his journey in baseball before successfully transitioning to softball in 1992. Throughout his career, he played for several elite teams, including Aurora Dolan Murphy in Illinois, Pete’s Blues in St. Louis, Fedlock in Washington, DC, and the Dominican Republic National Team.
Over his 32-year playing career, Coach Louie has consistently competed at the highest levels of Fastpitch Softball, facing off against some of the world’s top male players. His impressive resume includes participation in 17 ISC World Tournaments, 16 USA National Tournaments, and 7 AAU International Championships.
Beyond his success on the field, Coach Louie has transitioned into coaching, bringing his vast experience to High School Baseball. Specializing in pitching and hitting, he is passionate about sharing his deep knowledge and love for the game with the next generation of players. With his background in both softball and baseball, he offers a unique perspective, helping athletes refine their skills and achieve success in both sports.
