Chris was a two-time All-State pitcher/first baseman at Lockport High School. As a high school prospect Chris committed to the University of Arkansas to pitch in the Southeastern Conference. However, after the Royals selected him in the 7th round of the 2001 MLB Draft, Chris decided to forgo his commitment to Arkansas and sign professionally.
Chris played 11 years of professional baseball with the Kansas City Royals and San Diego Padres organizations before retiring in 2012. After playing, Chris stayed heavily involved in the game through private instruction and scouting for professional organizations, including a 5 year stint an Associate Scout with the Cleveland Indians.
In his role as Travel Team Director and Scout Liaison for Elite Baseball Training, he leads the player development for Elite’s National Travel Program, is in charge of implementing all of Elite’s technology into the training and the overall growth and success of the program, as well as assisting our players through the collegiate recruiting process.
