Ray Quiles

about

Hitting, Pitching, Fielding

Coach Quilles has been coaching youth baseball in the Chicagoland area for over twenty years at several different levels.  Ray has been an assistant coach at Lane Tech at the freshman, sophomore and varsity levels.  He coached travel baseball for twelve years, leading teams to nume

rous reputable tournament championships, including a state runner-up in 2003, two CABA World Series appearances, a Triple Crown tourney championship, and even took two teams over-seas.

Many of Ray’s players have gone on to play college baseball, including the Division 1 universities of Illinois State, Illinois-Chicago and Northern Illinois.

Known around BASH as the “Hit Doctor,” Coach Quilles continues to learn and play the game with the same passion as the young men that he coaches.

Coach Stone’s comments on Ray Quiles“Besides Ray’s vast knowledge of baseball game play and mechanics, I think Ray’s strength lies in his ability to get his points across to his students.  Ray is a coach that continues to learn and hone his craft and he believes that what he teaches shouldn’t only appear on the baseball field, but should be present in their everyday lives.  When you get an instructor like that, it is clear he cares as much about the player as he does the baseball he is teaching them.”
